Practical Skills

Whilst trying to plan the way I am trying to plan how I will be shooting my shots for the FMP. Trying to figure out the angles

 Experimentation1

Whilst looking at ways I could produce my poster for my documentary I was looking at different design ideas and I had a look at a more digital posters that I could link to identity and even though it links to the theme I thought it had not reached a potential of what a good documentary poster would be and it does not have an image that I had sources myself. Therefore, I had chosen to not go with this design as it does link to the theme but does not give a clean and proper look in my opinion to be the best look for a poster.

Filming paperwork.

SWOT analysis.

Using the film paperwork helped understand the planning of the filming. For example using the risk assessment sheet helped me under the risks that I may face during filming and how to over come them. As well as the SWOT analysis that helped me know what are my strengths, weaknesses, opportunities as well as threats that could relate to the project planning.

Equipment used :

When it comes to the equipment used as we had created previous projects, I was able to be creative and still know what I was doing. For example when it comes to the Canon EOS 2000d, being able to create a clear and clean look with the focus and exposure. And the recording of audio with the Zoom H4N PRO recording the audio was an important part of the filming process as it helped the audio to be clear as even though the camera does record audio however the quality is not as good as an actual audio recorder would be.

Edit process:

The editing process was by far one of the best parts of the process for the FMP as I had complete freedom to edit my project how I would like. Using premiere pro for the editing made the editing process easier as I had previously used the program, the program is quite easy to use as the layout is clear clear and labels so wanting to add edits or even clipping the videos was easy to do. Adding different transitions helped keep the video engaging and being able to make the video come together from short clips to one full video that would help people to understand different cultures and background and to encourage the audience to learn about theirs. As well as adding transitions, adding little texts was an interesting part of the editing process as making sure all the texts were the same, as well as making sure it is placed in the right place and writing the correct details for each person. Adding music at the end of the clip for the credits helps lighten up the mood and further keeps the audience engaged with the video.
